Linda Hou, Second-Generation Leader of American Chrome, Retires From ACC Heavy Duty
PR Newswire
JUPITER, Fla., Oct. 6, 2026
After nearly three decades in the commercial vehicle industry, Hou stepped down at the end of September.
JUPITER, Fla., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ACC Heavy Duty, a division of Multi Parts Solutions, and formerly known as American Chrome, announced that Linda Hou, director of sales for ACC Heavy Duty, retired at the end of September 2026, closing a career that spans nearly 30 years in the commercial vehicle industry and two generations of a family business. Brett Delp, who joined the company earlier this year, succeeds her as director of sales.

Hou’s history with the company began at its beginning. Her parents founded American Chrome Company in 1983, building it from a garage in Davenport, Iowa, into a national supplier of parts and accessories for the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. She joined the family business in 1997 and spent four years learning it from the ground up.
In 2001 she was recruited by Volvo Trucks North America, where she worked as a product manager for accessories, conducting market research, developing dealer training programs and managing sales and profit goals across her segments. She earned regular promotions and increasing responsibility over seven years and across three of five market segments in the Volvo Parts Marketing department to include the power transmission and undercarriage desks. Hou completed her MBA at Wake Forest University in 2007. In early 2008 she returned to American Chrome to assume its presidency.
The company she took over had already earned a place with the manufacturers, having become one of the original supplier partners to Alliance Parts in the 1990s alongside work with Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks North America and Navistar International. Under her leadership those relationships deepened and multiplied. Today ACC Heavy Duty supplies three of the four major manufacturers’ private-label aftermarket programs, operates as a Daimler supplier partner and participates across Volvo’s supplier base from production, pdc, direct ship, and private label Road Choice network, working from an 80,000-square-foot ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified distribution center in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
Hou also led the company through its 2023 acquisition by Multi Parts Solutions, which brought global engineering and product development capability to ACC’s commercial vehicle expertise and made possible programs such as ACC Fleet Solutions. In May of this year, she accepted a Daimler Truck North America APEX Award on the company’s behalf, recognizing ACC Heavy Duty as one of only six supplier partners honored for performance in quality, delivery, technology and cost.
Alongside her work in the industry, Hou built a record as an advocate for minority-owned and women-led businesses. She was named Minority Supplier of the Year, Class II, following a nomination by Navistar. Diversity MBA magazine recognized her in its Top 100 Under 50 Executive Leaders in 2012 and again among its Top 100 Women of Influence in 2020. In 2015 the National Federation of Filipino American Associations inducted her into the Illinois Circle of Empowered Women, citing her leadership in the community and her commitment to women’s issues. She has also completed executive programs at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, both focused on building high-performing minority businesses.
“My parents started this company in a garage with a simple idea, which was that if you take care of the customer, everything else follows,” Hou said. “That has held up for more than 40 years. What I will miss is not the work so much as the people. I have had the same conversations with some of these customers for 25 years, and they stopped being accounts a long time ago.”
“I’m leaving the business in good hands and in good shape,” Hou added. “The engineering resources we gained through Multi Parts Solutions are already producing things ACC could not have done on its own, and Brett has spent this year earning the trust of our customers. It is the right time.”
“Linda is a stalwart of this industry and knows a remarkable number of people in it, which is not an accident,” said Scott Robertson, vice president commercial for Multi Parts Solutions. “She earned that standing one relationship at a time, the same way her family built the company. The OEM partnerships ACC Heavy Duty has today exist because of the credibility she established and protected for two decades. We are grateful, and we intend to build on it.”
Delp joined ACC Heavy Duty as commercial fleet sales manager, leading the launch of ACC Fleet Solutions, a program that develops custom-engineered replacement parts for fleets facing chronic component failures. He assumes the director of sales role with responsibility for the company’s OEM and fleet customer relationships.
