SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Fireflies.ai, the AI Teammate used by teams at 75% of Fortune 500 companies, today launched Fireflies Talk, voice dictation built directly into the Fireflies desktop app. Fireflies Talk lets users speak naturally and turn their voice into clean text anywhere they can type, including email, Slack, documents, AI prompts and CRM fields.
Fireflies started as an AI notetaker and has since grown into the AI teammate for 20 million people across 1 million organizations. It briefs them in the morning, takes their notes, drafts their emails and reports, and updates their CRM. Fireflies Talk is the next step in this evolution, giving people a way to stop typing at work and simply say what they need. This newest launch follows the recent release of Email Assistant and Voice Agents.

Standalone dictation apps typically charge $12 to $15 per month for unlimited use, while Fireflies includes unlimited dictation at no cost on every plan. It is available today on Mac and Windows, with mobile coming soon.
To use Fireflies Talk, users simply hold a key (Fn on Mac, Ctrl + Win on Windows), speak, and release, with clean text appearing wherever their cursor is. Dictations are stored on the user’s device. Fireflies doesn’t keep a copy, and no one at Fireflies or in the user’s workspace can see them. Dictations, just like meeting notes, are never used to train models. Fireflies is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant.
